At the start of the month David came on board full time as Brewery Manager to help fill the gaps that Kit and Michael didn’t have time to do and sales have increased yet again. We have launched our Experimentals range with two beers: a 7.2% Passionfruit IPA and a 5.8% Smoked Bourbon Porter. Only 13 casks of each were ever produced so these are in great demand! This is a really great way for us to try out new flavours and Kit has been enjoying the challenge.
We also supported two beer festivals by supplying beer and equipment which has been really successful and interesting to engage with other local breweries. We had stalls at Wynyard Hall Farmers’ Market on a rather wet Easter Day and Stewart’s Park Farmers’ Market 2 weeks later. Despite the weather in Wynyard these were both great days and more chances to engage with the public outside of the brewery.
On the last weekend of April we had our monthly public brewery tour on the Friday and a 40th birthday party for 30 people on the Saturday with pizza and a pub quiz. Great way to end a busy but successful month!
