Ever wanted to see what it's like to brew on a large scale? Three brothers are running brew days where people can work alongside the brewer from start to finish to get a good understanding of how we make beer. Perfect for the curious or as a gift this is a great way to chance to 'dip your toe in the water' or more appropriately climb two footed into the mash tun!
Brewing can be hard work and it is quite dirty and manual work however we will adjust the day to suit peoples abilities and availability.
We offer this to groups of people up to 6 people, a half day (3 hours) costs £300 (£50/head) or a full day (6 hours) costs £500 (£83/head). Once covid restrictions relax we will be opening this to multiple groups to make the day accessible for individuals.
Each day starts at 9am, includes a bacon sandwich and coffee (an essential part of a brewers day) and finishes with a bottle beertasting session and the ability to take plenty of memorable photographs so you can show off to friends down at the pub. The Full day also includes either pizza or Parmos for lunch.
The half day consists of
- Mashing In (mixing the grains with water)
- Talk through grains
- Short tour
- Bacon sandwich and Brew
- Sparge and transfer
- Talk through the hops
- Weighing the hops
- Bottle Beer tasting
The full day also includes
- Adding the hops
- Digging out the mash
- Discussions on fermentation
- Lots of open time for questions
We can cater for all sorts of groups, individuals, couples, team building days, parties and even stag/hen groups.
