Sustainability & Our Community
Sustainability: Driven by Family, Built for the Future
At Three Brothers, sustainability is more than just a goal – it’s at the core of everything we do. As a family-owned brewery, we’re dedicated to creating a positive environmental impact today and for future generations. From reducing waste to using eco-friendly materials, our commitment to innovation and sustainable practices shapes every decision we make.
We actively support our local community and the environment by donating our spent malt to nearby farmers for use as nutritious cattle feed. Additionally, we’ve implemented water-saving initiatives throughout the brewery to reduce consumption and lessen our environmental footprint.
Always seeking new ways to minimize our impact, we focus on energy-efficient brewing processes, waste reduction strategies, and partnerships that further sustainability. Guided by our family values, we are committed to protecting the planet, ensuring it remains a thriving place for our community and generations to come.

Brewing a Stronger Community: Family, Tradition, and Craft at Our Core
Rooted in Community: Giving Back with Every Brew
Since our founding in 2016, one of our main goals has been to integrate our family business into the local community and give back wherever we can. We do this through a variety of events, including our popular beer festivals, charity brews, and fundraising initiatives.
Our beer festivals are family-friendly celebrations that feature over 35 beers, both traditional and craft, from an exciting range of independent breweries. We also showcase artisan spirits from local distilleries and cider makers, alongside delicious offerings from local food producers—from family butchers to Korean fusion street food. With live music, a lively charity pub quiz, and a welcoming atmosphere, these events are a highlight of our community calendar. Even better, they help raise funds and awareness for incredible local charities, including Hospices and the Great North Air Ambulance. To date, we’ve raised over £20,000 for charity, and we’re just getting started!
We also support local fundraising efforts by donating raffle prizes and offering event support. Our charity beers have raised thousands of pounds, such as our Huntington’s Disease-themed New Day IPA and Endeavour IPA, and sparked important conversations. With QR codes on the cans linking to information about the causes, we’ve helped raise awareness about lesser-known conditions and shared powerful messages about ways to get involved.
In addition to our charity work, we create bespoke cans, bottles, and pump clips for local events and businesses. We’re proud to collaborate with everyone from farmers’ markets to award-winning butchers, like Alderson & Son, for their award winning North East IPA sausages. We also provide local farms with spent malt for cattle feed and work year-round with a variety of businesses, from designers to distilleries.
Our branding proudly reflects our North East roots, with iconic local landmarks taking center stage. We are also thrilled to be working in partnership with Teesside University on an exciting innovation project. As part of our ongoing commitment to the local community, we’re proud to supply our flagship IPA to Teesside Airport—perfect for a refreshing pint before your flight.
