Ingredients and beer development

At Three Brothers we have always been interested in new technology and since 2016 the development in the industry has been extremely rapid.

New hops keep being released with more power and more flavour then ever before from a large number of new regions around the world. We have gone from a single live house yeast to access over a hundred yeasts to maximise flavour, change the style and even low alcohol yeasts that reduce alcohol or naturally sour beers and enzymes to make beer Gluten Free, more flavourful and now lower calorie for Diabetic friendly beer.

As a brewery we always try to incorporate these new developments into beers to make beer more full of flavour and more open to all. We always like to learn and chase a better more exciting beer so we love trialling these new items.

Most of our beers are now vegan friendly (only the ones with milk or honey aren't), most of our bottles are now certified gluten free (and we look to further grow this) and our 2 top selling cask beers, Trilogy Blonde and Northern Pale are always tested and available all around the North.

In the coming months we are looking to launch a keto beer and a low alcohol beer all brewed naturally and with maximum flavour.

Using our background in mechanical, chemical and Pharmaceutical engineering we have upgraded our brew kit to improve hop and flavour infusion and our inhouse cooling systems manage fermentation to use high or low temp specialist yeasts.
